Shamanic Rose Energy Healing: Sacred Anointing Oils Level 1
Secheim Sekhem the Egyptian chakra system

Sekhem Energy Healing
The ancient Egyptians utilised sound, colour, light, prayer, libation to the ancestors, diet and herbs, crystals, mantras, touch, massage and meditation to purify themselves and to operate at their optimum enlightened level and to master their own energy.
Sekhem Energy Healing is an ancient Egyptian energy healing modality similar to Reiki. It is also known as Sekhem-Seichim Reiki. ‘Sekhem’ means power or might. Sekhem energy healing uses symbols and sound and the laying on of hands to shift and transform a person’s energy. Sekhem is believed to have been taught as part of the spiritual practices in the Temples of Ancient Egypt as part of initiation into the Priesthood/Priestesshood. The intiation required years of study of the sacred art of healing and mysticism and required purification of the mind and body. Ancient Egypt was a central hub for learning and gaining wisdom and people travelled from across the world to study in Egypt and Mali. The Egyptian energy healing system developed and changed over time and people who had travelled to Egypt to learn took their teachings back to their countries of origin and adapted the systems. Sekhem energy is in modern times associated with Isis and the Egyptian lion-headed Goddess Sekhmet. Sekhmet is the Guardian and Protector of the energy. Sekhmet is the Bringer of Destruction, destroying that which needs to be destroyed in order for healing, transformation and regeneration to begin. Sekhmet is also linked with the star Sirus, the brightest star in the sky.
The chakras
In Sanskrit the chakras are described as spinning wheels that control our life force energy. When the chakras become imbalanced they can affect us physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Eastern philosophy regarding the energy body used the notion of energy centres and saw the energy centres as relating to seven specific glands within the body which include:
The pineal gland relating to the Crown chakra (Sahasrara in sanskrit)
The pituitary gland relating to the Third Eye (Ajna in sanskrit)
The thyroid gland relating to the Throat chakra (Vishuddha in sanskrit)
The thymus gland relating to the heart chakra. (Anahata in sanskrit)
The pancreas relating to the Solar Plexus chakra (Manipura in sanskrit)
The testes/ovaries relating to the Sacral chakra (Swadhisthana in sanskrit)
The adrenal glands relating to the Root chakra (Muladhara in sanskrit)
Sekhem and Egyptian energy healing is about creating a clear channel for the life force to run through. When conducting a Sekhem healing session the practitioner becomes a channel for the universal energy. It is important that as we conduct the healing session we do not use our own energy as we would quickly become depleted or imbalanced. As practitioner’s we must first go through the process ourselves and maintain good spiritual hygiene practices in order to be a channel for the energy. We must meditate, clear energy that needs to be cleared from ourselves and our healing room. We must also balance our own energy centres on a regular basis and take good care of ourselves. When the energy channels are clear disease on any level is less likely to take root.
Sekhem energy healing can be used to balance the energy centres in the body to bring about a feeling of balance and peace. There are many ways to balance the energy centres in the body including eating coloured fruit and vegetables that correspond to the chakras. Yoga and Thai Chi and Chi Gong also helps to circulate the life force or Chi through out the body. Colour, sound, crystals and essential oils also provide a way to balance the energy in the body and provide a great way to focus on channelling healing energy into the body. When our energy centres are out of wack or blocked it can have repercussions on our physical, mental, spiritual and emotional health. We can begin to clear theses centres through daily practises that do not need to take hours on end. We can engage in utilising affirmations or learn about colour and incorporate different colours into our clothing or use candles to bring in particular frequencies. We can use sound to clear our bodies by simply meditating with a tuning fork or a singing bowl or by drumming.
For thousands of years people have found different ways to work with energy and frequency and this practise is still alive and thriving today.
