You can use colour in the form of colourmancy to identify the clients temperament or to identify what the client needs to work on. You could have the client pick a single colour and then do a reading.

To do colour readings you can use ribbons, buttons, beads, coloured card, coloured fabric, coloured crystals, coloured candles, coloured pens, coloured paperclips or bulldog clips or small coloured gift bags. Assign meaning to the colours or use the meanings that are associated with that particular colour. Lay out your objects and have the client choose 1-3 colours.

You can then conduct a reading based on the clients choices. You can also use coloured objects to enhance a tarot or oracle card or charm reading.

Red

Power, vitality, energy, fire element, transformation, movement, assertiveness, action, courage, lust, excitement, passion, rage, confidence, caution, urgency, danger, bravery.

Orange

Thinking outside of the box, optimism, creativity, fun, vitality, independence, stimulation, adventure, prosperous business ventures.

Yellow

Green

Pink

You can also use the 7 rainbow colours to represent the chakras and ask a question and then get the client to pull a crystal out of the bag. You might ask which area should the client focus on? or which chakra will support the client in achieving their goal of xyz?

You can also cast the crystals onto a casting board and read the crystals that fall close together to give you a clearer picture of what is going on. You can create your own casting board by separating a card into sections such as Family, Career, Health, Finances etc and then cast buttons or charms or crystals onto the card and see which sections they fall into.

Above Amethyst has fallen between the mind and love relationships. In the mind section this could suggest the client should tap into their intuition and get clear on what they want. In the love and relationships section Amethyst might suggest that in a relationship the client should try to build a spiritual connection. Sodalite has fallen into the body category possibly suggesting that the client should slow down and take time to rest or to communicate their wishes to their partner and to open up about their feelings. Red Jasper is in the career section indicating the client should take action or get moving on their goals. The white Magnesite in career  and opportunity suggests that there might be a change coming and a releasing of the old to make space for the new. Green Quartz is between banishing and the shadow influence suggesting that the client should look at the feelings that they are trying to suppress or ignore and that this could lead to healing on a deep level. Orange Carnelian is between banish and guidance which could indicate that the client should look at banishing from their lives those things that deplete their joy and creativity. The orange also suggests that if the client takes some time out to enjoy themselves and get creative they will find the answers that they seek.
