Hecate & Sekhmet Black & Gold Rose Alchemy Healing

So I’ve been working with Sekhmet on a deep level for 8 months and Hecate for only a month. I work with the energy of Roses and integrate this into everything I do. So when I began to dive into the energy of Hecate I knew there was another level of the Goddess mysteries to be uncovered or explored. I like to dive in when understanding different energies and principles. Some thing called me to Hecate like all of the work with the Roses for the 7 chakras required an intervention and a going deeper beyond the 7 chakras to the lower world. Beyond the Root chakra to the alchemical process of stripping away the old no longer serving self, to finding something new,

The Goddess Hecate introduces us to Persephone a young girl Maiden archetype kidnapped and raped by Hades of the Underworld becoming his bride, she eats the fruits of the dead and then has to spend time in the underworld with her husband each year for half of the year, and the rest of the year in the upper and middle world. The story signifies a descent and a stripping away of aspects of the self that are old and outdated and negative. The story of Persephone also symbolises a rite of passage and an evolution of the old self into something new. I knew by simple research on Hecate that she was not a Goddess to be messed with. Learning just a bit about the character and energy of Hecate I knew that she would be an energy to stir things up. The descent of Persephone and her rescuing by Hecate and her mother Demeter is a turning point in Persephone’s life. When Persephone is kidnapped by Hades she is a young and innocent maiden. When Persephone is rescued from the underworld she returns as Queen Of The Underworld having been initiated by the process. The process of descent into the underworld is a process of tuning in to who we have become and the labels and identities we have attached or accepted for ourself. After identification of who we have claimed to be we strip those labels back to find who we are at our core essence and who we are destined to become.

Hecate and Sekhmet are like the underbelly of the Goddess. these 2 Divine Feminine archetypes represent the alchemical process of burning up the old, the travel and the descent into the unknown world of the Subconscious. The black Rose where we go to die or to kill a part of the old self so that we can rebirth and ascend up out of the darkness transformed into something new. The story of Inanna is over 4000 years old and there are various versions of the story. One of the versions of the story is that Inanna is asked to attend a funeral by her sister in the underworld and Inanna agrees to attend. To reach the underworld Inanna must pass through the 8 gateways to get to the underworld. In the story of Inanna, Inanna herself must strip away a piece of her Queen of Heaven and Earth regalia at each gateway of the 8 gateways of the underworld and arrive naked with everything else stripped away to the final gateway. At the first gateway Inanna gives up her crown. At the second gateway Inanna gives up her bracelet. At the third gateway Inanna gives up her necklace. And at each subsequent gateway something is released. The story signifies the purification that happens when we call on the dark goddess she forces us to unpack the self. In the journey to and in the underworld we must lay down each segment of the self.

With each passing through a gateway to reach the core of the self an attachment to the old self must be released so that we arrive like inanna humbled and without aspects of the false self. Inanna is killed by her sister and goes through the process of death for 3 days before she is saved by some of the members of the upperworld who realise that she is missing. The energetic death process brings with it the release of all that we know, a disconnection takes place so that we can re-establish an even stronger connection when we emerge from the process.

The things that we attach to our worth, our homes, our clothing, our work, our money are external things that have no connection to our actual worth. When we detach ourselves from the external paraphernalia that we accumulate and attach meaning to, we are left with a core essence. This is the part of us that is the true self the sovereign being and aspect of the Creator, Source, All that is. The things we accumulate can mask and hide our essence appearing to be an expression of our worth, yet when we strip them away we see that our soul and core essence is worth more than the paraphernalia that we accumulate and is in actual fact priceless. We are more than our bank account, more than our jobs, more than our jewellery and our stocks and shares, more than our cars. The journey to the underworld forces us to look at and detach from the things that we think show our worth.

We must unpack the roles that we play and the aspects of our identity that we cling to. To arrive at the underworld we must unpack the labels of the self- Father, Mother, Sister, Brother and the unexpressed feelings lurking in the shadows of the mind and trapped in the body. Betrayed, Suppressed, Violated, Bitter, Resentful, Deflated, Fearful. The Black and Gold Rose come forward to help in this process. The Black Rose is the energy of Hecate of travelling through the darkness with awareness and light. Sekhmet brings the energy of the Fire to burn up and transform and transmute those old parts of the self that need to be transmuted or transformed. When we call on a dark Goddess we better be ready for change, to go inward and to receive a catalyst on our journey into the depths of who we are, to the limiting beliefs and constructs tied to who we think we are and who others think we are. During the process of death and rebirth which is what the Dark Goddess provides, we travel down to our past, to the attachments we have created of who we are. From the depths of our psyche we look at these labels, attachments and beliefs that we are connected to and decide whether they should face the fire and be burned up into non existence or atleast reduced to ash for the time being.

Hecate holds a flame and is a guide in the underworld for Demeter the mother of Persephone. Sekhmet is the raging lioness and fury of Ra. Ra sends Sekhmet to destroy the people when they disrespect him and the laws of the universe. Sekhmet is firey rage. Together Sekhmet and Hecate provide the energy of the Dark goddess yet they do more than take you to the underworld of yourself, they provide a light and a key code for the way out. Sekhmet asks you to be fearless and to step into your power. Hecate asks you to take decisive action and to work your way out of the darkness and into the light. First we look at the abandoned parts of self, the suppressed self, the supressed emotions, hurts and pains and then we must find the medicine in the event or the lesson in the pain and the supression and transform what we believe about the event or situation and then we must release it. Take the lesson and integrate the lesson and then learn and be transformed. When we call on the Goddess things can move slowly and then take a fast turn and move full pelt and throttle creating change. We will be tested and our limits and our power can be put up for questioning enabling us to fully stand in our power of who we know we are. Just the mere putting out of wanting to connect with a specific energy can create change when you are in resonance or need of that energy. Specific Rose frequencies are awakening on the planet designed to awaken consciousness and the Merkabah body.

The Black Rose and the Gold Rose represent the alchemical process of reducing an element down to ashes to extract its essence and make something new. These energies are coming through for me and the teachings and energies are slowly unfolding and making themselves known. When we ascend going up to higher frequencies we must then bring these energies down into our physical reality where we exist on the physical plane. We must come back down eventually and be in the now with the integration of the parts of self that we had previously abandoned, neglected and ignored to do this we must travel to the abandoned and unloved parts of the self in the underworld our psyche and our shadow. We dissect, discard and then integrate whatever is left after the first 2 stages of releasing or shedding through purification, a baptism of fire, burning up what no longer serves us. We find the gems from the ashes, the parts of the self that we wish to keep, our souls essence bringing the integral parts of who we are back into the forefront of what we do and the steps we take.

So we gather the undiluted and pure essence of ourselves and take this from the underworld into our current reality we mix this with the celestial energies of the upper world and transform ourselves in the process. This is the life death rebirth cycle that can be seen as the Shamanic death in order for transformation to take place. So what I have learnt so far is that Hecate calls us in to the darkness to look at that which we don’t want to look at. Sekhmet is a dark Goddess who works on the darkness to bring justice and light to it in a powerful way. Sekhmet brings the gold light and the gold flame to purify and burn up the withered old programs and who is left at the end of the process is a new being slightly or largely transformed and empowered. The foundations of my next few courses are slowly unwinding and as they do I am also being asked to journey into the self and to go deeper into the constructs of who I am and the construct of the mind. The wonderful thing is that the Divine Feminine energy is one of abundance and fertility and with each journey that I take into the depths of the Divine Feminine I am rewarded and changed in someway and the depths of the Rose and The Divine Feminine begin to show me their depths and their complexities with each furl of the Rose petal. As these teachings and principles come together there is a very real process that we can take to experience the alchemical change that comes from working with our shadow and the underbelly of the Goddess. The process is a process of deep healing and transformation and an unlocking of key codes that grant us access to higher states of awareness through the shedding and purification of the self. Stay tuned for more information on this process which I will be using in my next offering. In the mean time as I craft and shape the offer I will be sharing my findings of this journey and dance with the different faces of the Dark Goddess.
