Glastonbury: Heart Chakra Of The World

Glastonbury: The Heart Chakra of the World

If you are reading this on the day it is published today is Summer Solstice. For me summer Solstice is about the South Direction of Earth also classed as Midday the peak of the summer. This is the perfect time to çonnect with the Sacred Sites of the world such as Glastonbury, where Avalon is believed to be. Nestled in the mystical hills of Somerset, Glastonbury is known not only for its ancient legends and sacred springs—but also as the Heart Chakra of the Earth.

The concept of the Earth having chakra points—energy centers akin to those in the human body—emerged from a fusion of ancient geomancy, sacred geography, and modern esoteric teachings. Earth chakras are believed to regulate and radiate spiritual energy across the globe, anchoring different frequencies of divine consciousness. Glastonbury, paired with Avebury, is commonly recognized as the seat of the heart, where the energy of love, compassion, and union flows into the collective consciousness.

Ley Lines, Dragon Lines, and the Serpent Path

Glastonbury is a place where ancient ley lines—spiritual energy pathways also known as dragon lines—intersect. The two most famous lines passing through this region are the Michael Line and the Mary Line, which spiral around one another in a sacred dance of masculine and feminine energies, mirroring the caduceus or DNA spiral. In shamanic and esoteric traditions across the world, dragons and serpents symbolize primal life force, transformation, and the sacred energy of the Earth. In Egypt, the serpent (uraeus) represented divine authority and kundalini energy rising through the spine. In Avalonian lore, dragons are protectors of the land and gateways to the Otherworld. In shamanism, the serpent is a teacher of transmutation, rebirth, and deep earth wisdom. These mythic beings are linked to the Earth element, anchoring our energy into Gaia’s body and connecting us to the deep rhythms of nature. The power animal of the serpent or dragon awakens the lower chakras and rises toward the heart, much like the path of the Rose Kundalini.

The Summer Solstice is a potent time to connect to these energies, as the sun’s power is at its zenith, illuminating the full flowering of the heart and activating the serpentine currents in both Earth and body. For a deeper exploration of the Michael Line and its role in Glastonbury’s energetic landscape you can check out the following links

Across the ancient world, sacred sites were intentionally constructed as cosmic temples—earthly mirrors of celestial patterns. These power places were built not only to honor the divine, but to record time, track the stars, and harness the cycles of the Moon and Sun. Cultures from Egypt to Britain, from Peru to Mesopotamia, aligned their temples, pyramids, stone circles, and burial mounds with solstices, equinoxes, lunar phases, and star risings to create energetic gateways between Earth and Sky.

One of the most iconic examples is Stonehenge in England. During the Summer Solstice, the rising Sun aligns perfectly with the Heel Stone, casting its golden ray through the stone avenue and into the heart of the circle. It is believed that in ancient times, a priest or priestess would stand at the focal point of this alignment—positioned at the rear of the inner horseshoe of stones—and at the exact moment of solar zenith, the full ray of the Solstice Sun would strike them. This was no ordinary moment. The light carried divine intelligence, and in that instant, the priest or priestess would receive a transmission of cosmic consciousness, activating the Seer within.Such alignments served as portals of awakening, moments when the veils between worlds thinned, and initiates could step into direct communion with the Sun as a divine being. The solar energy wasn’t just physical—it was spiritual, capable of igniting inner vision, bestowing gnosis, and initiating a deep embodiment of the God or Goddess. These rites were part of a greater tradition where seasonal ceremonies were carefully orchestrated to mirror and harness celestial energy for transformation, healing, and ascension.

During the Summer and Winter Solstice is a great time to connect with these Sacred Sites, you connect by looking at the images of sacred sites or visiting them.
