Hecate is “Goddess of Witchcraft”
These 2 firey Goddesses are all about change and transformation. Sekhmets energy is one that demands that we embody our power, being fearless and mighty like the lion. Hecates energy is about having clarity on what we want and bringing those things into being by intention which is called magick. If we were to seek out a message from the firey Goddess for 2024 the year of the dragon we would find messages about being fierce like the lion and the dragon, being mighty and taking mighty steps towards our goals. Both Hecate and Sekhmet bring the energy of the Fire of Transformation. We are asked to burn up those things that take us away from our clear vision for the year. We are asked to take the path of our intentions with our vision as the light and sign post. Hecate and Sekhmet bring that Lioness and fire energy, they are the Flaming torch bearers these 2 Goddesses push us to travel further into the depths of our souls, to our soul missions and life path.
The fire energy asks us to step up and be leaders of the pack. Fire energy is about domination but not in the narcissistic or macho way. Fire energy is about dominating from the super conscious mind, being the best versions of ourselves, on a mission, taking steps from power towards our intentions and goals. When we embody Sekhmet and Hecate energy we are fearless, we know what we want, why, and how we want it. We become the go getters and action do-ers operating from a place of confidence and determination. We are Empress of our dominion. We have the Fire energy and the Water energy in balance and we work on becoming masters of our lives.
From a self development and empowerment approach being the leader of the pack like the lion, is about being the best in your field, being authentic and unique. The Lion archetype and energy is the dominating King of the jungle. From an empowerment perspective this can be likened to having personal boundaries, being the one in control of your life and being the leader of your life. Lion energy is confident and quick moving.

Dragon energy

The Dragon archetype is associated with power and courage. To generate and charge your life force energy you can use the Yogic Fire Breathe described below.
Yogic Fire Breathing Technique to generate life force energy for revitalisation.
Yogic Fire Breath, also known as Kapalabhati, is a powerful breathing exercise in yoga which uses forceful exhalations followed by relaxed inhalations. It is designed to cleanse the respiratory system, invigorate the mind and body, and enhance the flow of prana (life force energy) throughout the body. This practice is often included in yoga routines to promote mental clarity, physical vitality, and spiritual awakening.
To do a Fire Breath exercise sit either on the floor cross legged with a straight back or on a chair with a straight back. Place your hands on your knees or thighs.
Take 5-10 deep breaths to center yourself, then inhale deeply through your nose expanding your stomach. Exhale fast and forcefully through your nose while pulling in your stomach muscles and tensing them on the exhale. Release all the air from your stomach on the exhale; Make your exhale strong and powerful. Your inhale should just be a deep breath allowinf your stomach to naturally expand with the intake of air through your nose.Allow the inhalation to happen passively and naturally as you relax your abdominal muscles. Repeat the inhale through the nose and fast strong exhale through the nose 20-30 times counting the inhale and exhale as 1 rep.
Once you have done your 20-30 reps you can take a few normal deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth and then do another set of reps. Finally, sit quietly and meditate on the flow of energy and prana in your body.
Kapalabhati fire breath cleanses the respiratory system by expelling stale air and toxins from the lungs and clearing the nasal passages, which improves breathing. Fire Breath is energising and it increases oxygen supply to the brain which can assist with clearing the mind and enhancing mental clarity and focus. Additionally, it balances the nervous system by activating the sympathetic nervous system and promoting overall well-being. The contraction of abdominal muscles during the exercise also aids digestion by massaging the internal organs. Kapalabhati encourages the movement of prana throughout the body, helps to unblock energy channels (nadis), and promotes a harmonious flow of life force energy, contributing to physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Exclusive course preview of course out in July creating balms with the energy of Lightworking, purification and protection and prosperity and abundance video and a Hecate inspired anointing oil.

Below is the video lecture of creating a Hecate inspired anointing oil.
Below this body of writing you will find a short video lecture showing my formula for a lightworker aura balm and Empress Abundance and Prosperity Balm. But first I will give you some basic information about creating a balm. The essential oils in the balms in the video lecture and the dried flowers used within the balms for decoration were chosen to reflect the energy of Hecate as a Fire energy goddess who is also protective and a stimulator of change and transformation. The abundance balm uses essential oils associated with abundance and prosperity which are connected to Sun energy which is also connected to Fire and Leo energy.
To create a basic Balm recipe combine
27g of butter and oils
with 3g of Beeswax or Refined Coconut oil (the one that gets hard) or Candililla Wax a Beeswax alternative.
Example 30g body balm recipe
Your 27g of butters and oils might look like:
10g Shea Butter/Coconut Butter/Mango Butter
17g of Grapeseed oil/Olive oil/Sunflower oil
3g of Beeswax or Candililla Wax (Candililla Wax is a Beeswax alternative)
15 drops of essential oil for a 2.5% dilution rate of essential oils which is suitable to be used all over the body and face. For a moisturising balm that will only be used on pulse points and not used daily you can use 5% essential oils which is 30 drops of essential oils in a 30g tin.
Once you have melted your basic balm recipe of oils and butters using a double boiler method you can combine essential oils to create any type of themed balm.
For a balm that supports you as a Lightworker you can combine sacred essential oils and oils that are associated with protection and healing or psychic ability.
In keeping with the energy of Hecate and Sekhmet you could create a fire element Balm with oils that support change and transformation and or energising oils or oils that have sun energy. Some sun energy essential oils include Calendula, Neroli, Sweet Orange, Melissa, Bergamot. the citrus oils mentioned can be photogenic which means that they can burn the skin if worn out in the sun so citrus oils should be used at a low percentage to the rest of the oils.
For example if your essential oils make up 10% of your whole balm recipe the citrus oils should make up 1-2% of your overall 10%
Here is an example of a simple 15 drops sun and fire essential oil blend
15 drops = 100% total essential oils made up of:
2 drops Bergamot
2 drops Ylang-Ylang
1 drop Pink or Black Pepper (Personal Power) or Rosemary (Clarity) or ginger (fire energy) or Cinnamon (for stimulating taking positive action)
10 drops Frankincense (Transformation and purification)
Combined with
10 g Shea Butter (2 teasvspoons/5ml spoons)
17g Grapeseed oil (Grapeseed oil is unscented and is nongreasy)
