Mabon Self Love And Manifestation

The Energy of Mabon: Embracing Self-Love and Manifestation

The energies are changing as we move closer to Mabon. Mabon happens between 21/22nd September. Mabon marks the changes of seasons and for those in the northern hemisphere the British and American, Canadian Pagan communities this has always been a time known as the Autumn Equinox or for those in the Southern Hemisphere this is Ostara the Spring Equinox.

Mabon is a time of balance. Equinox marks a time where there are equal amounts of hours of periods of light and dark during a 24 hour cycle of day. During summer we get more light hours and as we move to winter we get more dark nights. At Equinox the amount of hours of light and dark are the same. This is the doorstep of a shift in energy before we begin to move into Winter where I come from. We can use this time to do inner reflection work, make plans and enjoy the changing of seasons. Many cultures have a variation of a wheel that marks the change in seasons. In the northern hemisphere we are 6 months away from Spring.

Mabon is a time to take some time to create your own sacred moments of reflection. If we take sacred time to reflect count our blessings and give thanks for what we have and have received each season we will spend the whole year in gratitude and appreciation. Mabon is the perfect time to take time out to look back with gratitude. Appreciation and gratitude are high frequency thoughts that align us to high frequency states of being. Gratitude and appreciation are a great way to bring in more prosperity and abundance aswel as helping us to feel happy. Look back over your achievements this year and make a record of them or look over any photos or souvenirs you have that represent your achievements. As the earth prepares to turn inward for the colder months, this is an ideal time to focus on self-love, nurture our inner selves, and manifest our desires for the months ahead. This is a perfect time to look within and align with the energies of balance, abundance, and transformation.

I have made a conscious decision to spend the next week thinking about the things that I have been blessed with and manifested this year. When going after a goal you can lose sight of the everyday blessings and become so focused on the overall outcome that you forget to stop to enjoy and appreciate the journey. Mabon is a time where the veils are becoming more and more thin and you are able to better connect to your Higher Self and the spiritual realm/ God of your understanding/YHWH/Father God/Neter etc and Ancestors, and the Angelic Realm.

Here are 7 powerful spiritual practices for self-love and manifestation during Mabon:

  1. Gratitude Ritual Create a sacred space and take time to reflect on everything you are grateful for in your life. Write down these blessings in a journal and write down some of your major and even minor achievements so fat this year. Read your list of things you are grateful for and the things you have achieved this year, aloud as you light a candle. You could also write your blessings down on small pieces of paper and add them to a jar and keep adding to the jar for the rest of the year. You can keep the jar where you can see it and look at your pieces of paper whenever you feel called to. This will show you how many blessings and things you have to be greatful for so far this year.Gratitude raises your vibration and opens the heart to self-love and new manifestations. By acknowledging what you’ve already harvested, you align yourself with more abundance.
  2. Heart-Centered Meditation During Mabon, focus on a meditation that opens your heart space. Visualize the autumn leaves gently falling, clearing any blockages in your heart chakra. As you breathe deeply, imagine golden light filling your heart with love and compassion for yourself. This practice helps deepen your connection to self-love and heals any wounds preventing you from fully embracing who you are.
  3. Manifestation Vision Board Reflect on what you wish to manifest in the coming months. Gather images, words, and symbols that represent your desires and create a vision board. With the energy of the equinox supporting balance and transformation, place your vision board somewhere you can see it daily. This visual reminder helps keep you aligned with your goals and dreams as you move through the autumn season.
  4. Harvest Offering Mabon is the time of harvest, both literal and symbolic. Offer thanks to the earth for its abundance by creating a small altar with seasonal fruits, vegetables, and flowers. You can offer a portion of these gifts back to the earth as a way to honor the cycle of giving and receiving. This practice helps you feel connected to the energy of abundance, reinforcing the belief that you are worthy of receiving love and prosperity. You could also create a Shamanic Despacho and burn this as a symbol of gratitude for your blessings. You can create your despacho as an offering to Mother Earth or the God of your understanding. I cover how to create a despacho here https://rosepriestessenergyhealingtraining.online/2024/02/23/how-to-create-a-shamanic-despacho-release-or-intention-ceremony/
  5. Journaling for Inner Balance As Mabon symbolizes the balance of light and dark, take time to journal about the areas of your life where you seek more harmony. Ask yourself: Where do I need to release control? Where do I need to show myself more love and compassion? What limiting beliefs can I let go of to manifest my desires? This reflective practice helps you identify where you can create more balance, leading to greater self-love and manifestation power.
  6. Bring the outside in. Collect things outdoors to use in your home as decoration that represent the season, you might collect pinecones, horsechestnuts, you might collect fruit that is ready to be harvested such as apples and pears and make a desert or pudding or pie.
  7. Work with the seasons in your home and life to connect with nature. Purchase the seasonal fruits that are more abundant at this time. Eat fresh fruit and vegetables in keeping with the seasons.Bring out your autumn/fall wardrobe and incorporate the colours into your capsule wardrobe of main pieces.

Aligning yourself with the energies of Mabon, you tap into the flow of nature’s cycles, embracing the gifts of self-love, transformation, and manifestation. This is a time to honor the beauty of balance—both within ourselves and in the world around us. Embrace this sacred time, nurture your heart, and step into the fullness of your power as you prepare for the months ahead.
