The Sun plays a significant role in many spiritual traditions, marking key moments of the year with seasonal celebrations. These celebrations often align with astronomical events like solstices and equinoxes, where the Sun’s path through the sky marks a cycle of renewal, transformation, and spiritual rebirth. Between the end of December and the beginning of February March the days begin to get lighter. The sun is rebirthed. On the Shortest day of the year we have equal hours of day and night and in the Winter we are then moving towards the return of more daylight. This marks the start of new beginnings with a whole year ahead to conquer our shadows and inner demons at the beginning of the year as we move towards our goals for the New Year.
